Skye is a 3 year old purebred female German Shepherd. She loves to play outside and go on walks on or off leash. She has completed obedience/basic training with a local trainer and does pretty well listening to commands. When she isn't playing outside she likes to lay on the couch or the floor and chew on bones. She likes to alert everyone when she hears a noise outside that she perceives as a threat. She also growls or does muffled barks If she sees a stranger by our house. She will bark when kids have friends over or their parents but will be friendly quickly after. She's never bitten or been hostile toward a human or another animal. She currently lives with another dog that is a year older and they get along great and play together. We don't have cats or any other animals so I can't speak for how she would react to them but I imagine she would get used to anything in her new home. The reason I'm looking to rehome her is because she has a lot of allergies and requires special food (which she is given) and she needs medication and/or immunotherapy (which she is not given) I am disabled and unable to care for her the way that she needs to be cared for and can't afford the treatments she needs. She is and will be a great family dog and my wish is for her to go to a home that can take care of her properly so she can have a better life. I've had her since she was a puppy and she will remain in my care until the right owner is found.
