LOCATION: Bridgeville, PA DOB: 11/02/2022 Hi there! My name is Yvette, and I'm a 140-pound lovebug with a heart as big as my paws! Life hasn't always been kind to me, but I'm ready to leave my tough beginnings behind and find my happily-ever-after with a forever family. I'm a 2-year-old Great Dane who came from a hoarding case in Kentucky, where I spent my early days outside with my siblings and had very little contact with humans. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was so scared I curled up in the corner for three whole days. But then-magic happened! My foster mom introduced me to chicken, and let me tell you, humans instantly became my favorite thing ever. I've since learned that love, kindness, and snuggles are the best. I've been through a lot medically in my short life, but I've stayed patient and sweet through every step of the journey. From battling blasto (which I'm now negative for!) to overcoming pyometra, I've proven I'm a resilient girl who never gives up. Bonus: I'm a champion pill taker-my foster mom says it's practically a superpower. Now that I'm healthy and full of energy, I love going for walks, car rides, and zooming around the yard. Don't worry, I never wander off-unless it's to hop in the car for my next adventure! I'm still learning leash manners because I get so excited about being outside, but I'm confident I'll get the hang of it with practice. At home, I do well in a blocked-off kitchen (though I may occasionally 'borrow' a shoe or spatula). I'm what they call a 'Velcro Dane.' I adore sticking close to my humans, and I'd thrive with someone who works from home or can spend lots of time with me. I'd especially love a female adopter since men make me a little nervous (can you blame me?), and having a male dog sibling would help boost my confidence. Oh, and cats? I love them-I even hang out with my foster kitty friends. My foster mom says I'm her soulmate, and while she's 'sweating from her eyes' writing this, she's excited to see me find a family that will love me as much as she does.
