[Read About Natural Cancer Care] Loretta Lynn Made a lot of great music about her rough past filled with heartache. Our Loretta sings a similar song. 8 years old and found as a stray, she was brought into the shelter looking like she just had puppies around 11/26/2024. A citizen found her in their backyard in the cold night circling their sheds searching, probably for her recent litter. No puppies were found when officers came to take her. Instead of spending time with those puppies and a family on Thanksgiving, she instead found herself alone and confused in a loud kennel. Instead of being cozy under a kitchen table, waiting for scraps to fall, she sat in a concrete jungle. Loretta's gray muzzle, calm and sweet demeanor, quickly made her a volunteer favorite at the shelter. She sought and gave affection, showed everyone how she could be a good girl sitting and taking treats so gently. Volunteers even came in when they found extra time during their busy work days to specifically walk her. Loretta is currently in foster, but needs that special someone to give her a second chance. 8 years young, she needs a fresh beginning, as she's proven to still have a lot of life, brightness and love pouring out of her broken body. Potentially overbred with hanging teets, callouses on her elbows, skin issues being treated, heartworm positive and a mast cell tumor on her vulva, poor exhausted Loretta needs her person to adopt her understanding her medical needs, or a rescue to take her under their wings. Loretta has been wonderful inside and outside the shelter. She was recently the mascot at a fundraiser, encountering different dogs of all sizes and genders and did well. In her first foster, she did well with children aged 6-12 and seemed neutral to their indoor and outdoor cats (slow intros always recommended). In her current foster she does well with 2 male 80 lb neutered pit mixes. She is non destructive in her own room, and goes in her open crate to snooze during the day. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash and is treat motivated (takes so gently). Loretta sleeps through the night and is just fine in her space for hours after a nice walk. Live in an apartment? You're golden. Work from home? She'll be your quiet co-worker. Work a job away from home? This girl will snooze until you come home, greeting you with kisses and fierce body wiggles. Please consider Loretta. Can you be her warm home? Share her far and wide!! Loretta is currently being fostered through Charlotte Mecklenburg ACC and needs a medical waiver for adoption. Heartworm treatment is provided upon adoption. If interested email me bossekate@gmail.com https://24petconnect.com/CLTAdopt/Details/CHRL/A1237023
