Kona is a German Shepherd mix and is so very sweet and loving and such a people dog. We've had her for 6 years. Unfortunately as my 1 year old son is getting older, she has started to show signs of aggression towards him, most recently snapping at him (no actual contact). She never shows signs of aggression to adults, so this is new but scary. I'm expecting a second child and we are concerned that we can no longer ensure their safety with her new aggressive behavior. In order to keep them separated properly, she would no longer be able to interact with the family as she should as she craves love and attention. She gets along with our dog, but can have trouble with some other dogs, it's hit or miss. I think ideally she would be in a home with no children, or older children who won't spook or sneak up on her. She would also be best in a home that has no other dogs and can provide her with activity and attention. We want to find a family that understands the needs of a German Shepherd. If you want any other information please let me know.
