Cooper is a Blue Heeler who has lived with one owner his entire life. He is fiercly loyal, snuggly, and smart but was not socialized and so is very afraid of strangers. He is muzzle trained, house trained, and knows commands of all kinds! Don't let his initial aggression fool you, he's a huuge softie once he knows you! Though he is slow to warm up to people, he does not do well around other animals. Speaking as his owner- I do think he could be trained to coexist with both new people and animals but it will be a lengthy process. He is best suited for someone who is looking for a 'project dog' or has experience with fearful reactive animals. This would be a slow adoption process as I am only rehoming him because I am attending graduate school abroad this fall so preferably someone who is comfortable with the idea of a slow transition & open adoption or long term foster. He has never gotten aggressive with me, my family, or our pets it is only strangers who he reacts to! I can't stress how great he is when not exposed to his triggers, just a perfect smart silly little guy.
