Poppy is a 4.5 yr old, amazing Australian Sheppard. We got her from High Desert Aussies when she was a puppy. It is heartbreaking to make this post as she is a sweet girl, super affectionate, and a loving member of our family. She is also territorial - our neighbors have a female dog that she has bitten a few times, which has caused us to initiate finding her a new home. She is obedient and highly intelligent and is well-acclimated to people and other dogs. She has a strong chase impulse with cats - we have one, and they co-exist, although most of the time separately. We have another dog (male) that she gets along with well. The breeder's point of view was that she shouldn't be with another female - and said this was typical for the breed. She is well trained indoors and crates at night --- but needs a lot of exercise during the day. Nothing abnormal for the breed
