About Saffron and Sandy

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult

***WAYWARD RANCH IS CLOSING AND WE NEED TO REHOME ALL OF THE ANIMALS IN OUR CARE BY JULY 2025!!*** Saffron came to us as a feral cat trapped with her three kittens. After being spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, she went into a foster home with her son Sandy and the two are now a bonded pair looking for a forever home together! There was definitely an adjustment period while they got used to being in a home setting for the first time in their lives, but they are now coming out and exploring and are enjoying spending time with the humans in the home. These two are still very timid, so they'd do best in a calmer household with calmer children and without very young children, but they can be drawn out to play with toys (especially feather toys) pretty easily! They are also big fans of treats and can be lured out for a good snack. Regardless of what they're doing, whether it be exploring, playing, or napping in various positions, everything these two do, they do together and because of that, we can't split them up. Saffron tends to be the braver of the two and is the first to venture into new territory, but after just a few minutes, Sandy will follow behind her. Then they'll take a few minutes to regroup, and then Saffron will start the next leg of their adventure. If you are interested in adopting this adorable duo, you can fill out an application for them on our website, waywardranch.org!
