Hello, We are in a tough situation. We adopted a puppy from Homeward Bound at 12 weeks. As she has grown, she is now 8 months, she is showing resource guarding signs that we don't feel safe with our toddler. We cannot keep her in our home because of this. We have tried for a couple of weeks now to rehome her but have not had any successful leads. Homeward Bound will not take her back. Because of the resource guarding, I think she should only go to a home with adults or older kids who can be taught how to handle her. She's incredibly affectionate and loving just not gentle enough for the unpredictability of young kids and all the commotion that ensues. She loves to run and play with other dogs. She's done puppy training and knows several commands. She is doing well with crate training and house training. She does great on a leash and walks long distances. I think she'd do best with an active owner without young kids. She's reactive to cats, but has coexisted with them since bringing her home. She's up to date on her shots and meds I'm happy to cover the cost or part of the cost up to a certain amount If needed She is not spayed, but has an appointment next month or we'd be happy to cover the cost of this. We are located in Mechanicsburg, PA but are willing to travel. Please let me know if you can help
