: JAX JAX is currently stuck in the kill shelter system in Arkansas and is really hoping to be able to catch a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 15th (3/15/25). He NEEDS a FOSTER or an ADOPTER to be able to secure his spot on the transport van. He gets along with the other dogs and kids in his foster home and is an overall happy guy! He is learning about potty training, crate training, and walking on a leash. He was originally found as a stray wandering the open road by himself when animal control picked him up and brought him to the local pound. He looks to be husky mix with his blue eye. __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer, vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. '3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
