1 year old, brindle mastiff mix (Cane Corso, Presa Canario, and Boerboel), about 80lbs. Mid December I wanted to adopt a mastiff in need of rehoming. The one I found was being rehomed because he's male and as he got older, they were afraid him and his dad might fight and really hurt or kill each other. He had a sister that was optional for me to take and I agreed to a trial. I really thought 2 dogs would be too much, but I wanted to try to keep them together. After living with them for a couple weeks, I think they would be much better suited not in the same home. One on one they aren't aggressive towards strangers, but together they are aggressive towards everyone except their people (not the same experience for the previous owners though they have repeatedly recommended socializing/first meets separately). They fight for my attention pretty consistently and I feel like I can't play or get comfortable with either because of the jealousy. They are completely different dogs separate. They recently went to 8 weeks of boarded training, which did not help. The previous owners moved while they were in training and cannot take her back. She is such a love bug; I think would do better in a single dog house where she can get all the snuggles for herself. -Great with kids. -Very attention motivated. -Protective of her people (will probably need someone with experience to navigate not being reactive towards strangers, but from what the previous owners say, she was always good around new people, maybe I'm giving 'needs to be protected' vibes). -Wants all the love all the time. -Great on a leash (without her brother). -I was told she used to go to pet therapy day at the nursing home the previous owner works at, that she is bell trained to go outside for bathroom breaks, and that she is good with cats. I have no reason not believe them; I just can't confirm this in the short period of time I've had her. I don't have a fenced in yard so I walk her for bathroom breaks'|she's fine with going on a leash. Potty training has been a little wonky since coming back from training, but I think will be an easy fix if they don't live together. If you've ever dreamed of having a dog that will want to snuggle with you every second of her life, Nala is your girl!
