About Oliver

My name is Oliver. I am Duke's brother and I am one of four. I was the runt of the litter so therefore the 'smallest.' We are both super amazing dogs. I am about 64 lbs and almost 8 months old. Yes, I am pretty big. No, I am not sure how much more I will gain but don't be surprised if I get to 80 to 90 lbs. Maybe? Maybe not? I don't SEEM that big because in all reality, I am a big mush. I think my ideal place would be in someone's lap all the time. I am the quintessential gentle giant... no joke. I am totally good with all dogs, I am very neutral. Right now I live with three large females but friendly males wouldn't be an issue for me either. I am submissive. My favorite thing in my foster home? The kids. Especially the 9 year old kiddo. When she walks in, I light up! I wag my body right over to her! I also like when she sits with me while I eat my dinner. I have definitely been around cats in an outdoor environment but inside, I don't have much experience. Per my breed I am mild mannered medium energy and I seek out affection. A lot of it! If you want a hiking buddy, I am not going to be it. I'm housebroken and crate trained. I do not have much experience on a leash and I kind of freeze when a human pulls my collar on my neck. It just feels funny! To practice my leash skills, a nice harness would be best but we can go slow with that skill. After I settle in and trust my surroundings, the walking part will come. I am a bit more hesitant than my brother Duke to tackle new things but it doesn't take me long. I have been a really nice houseguest in my foster home in NJ and I would just love to meet my new family. A fenced in yard is required!
