Apply For Adoption at www.tvar.org Spike's foster mom says he is a sweet, cuddly, submissive and friendly boy! He is a young Dutch Shepherd mix, only 7-months-old and he weighs 63 pounds. He has spent some of his puppyhood recovering from a fractured leg and he has been great with the resident dog who has been his supportive companion throughout his healing. Spike is now able to enjoy running and playing again. He likes sturdy chew toys and playing in water and dirt. Since he is now ready to enjoy new adventures, he is getting used to being on leash and he's motivated by food which helps with training. A good match for Spike is someone who has experience with large, active breeds and will participate in regular training and activities. Having a yard is recommended.
