We have an 8 month old heeler mix who needs a loving, active home. We took him and his brother in from a home that wasn't providing good care, have rehomed his sibling, and now Hudson needs to find a new home. He is high-energy, loyal, and loving. He does great in the home and is potty-trained. He is incredibly smart and knows basic commands such as sit, come, down, etc. He will go to his crate when told. He is very food motivated. He absolutely loves playing fetch. He would do best in a home without other dogs. On walks, he can get reactive to other dogs and I believe this is fear/anxiety-based or he is protective of me. He was brought up with our other dog and does fine with him though. We have a cat that he chases occasionally but he has not shown aggression toward him. He is weary of strangers and needs time to get comfortable to new people. He generally does well with our school-age kids but does tend to herd them. He will need an owner who is very active and can provide Hudson physical and mental stimulation. Hudson is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Please email/call/text if you feel you are a good fit and would like to meet him.
