Ivy is a 2-year-old, 26 pound Missouri mutt. We are pretty sure if she was DNA tested, she would be a mix of a lot of different breeds. Ivy had a rough start to life. She was removed from her home in Ridgeway Missouri with two other dogs in a cruelty case. Her owner abandoned her and starved her. He was charged with animal abuse. Ivy was an emaciated 17 pounds when she was rescued. Ivy has learned a lot in the last month at her foster home. She now knows how to play with toys and loves to chew on antlers and nylabones. Ivy plays tug of war with her foster brother and does well with the cats in her home. She likes to be with her people and will cuddle and give kisses. Ivy was initially scared of people but has now learned we aren't so bad and love is given unconditionally. She is slow to warm up to new people but has already gained a lot of confidence in her foster home. Ivy requires a physically fenced yard so she can run and play safely. She is just learning to walk on a leash and does well with another dog beside her Ivy is kennel and housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested.
