About Strogi

Strogi was seized from his previous owners due to neglect. This guy has lived a large portion of his life on a short chain with no real shelter. He had dug a hole under the shed to shelter himself from the rain. Thankfully, that life is over for Strogi. He is seeking an amazing home to help him leave his past in the dust! Strogi can be timid with new people, but warms up quickly. Be warned, this guy is a hugger! He loves being held closely to you at every opportunity an would also make a great snuggle buddy. Despite his timidness with people, Strogi immediately lights up when another dog is put in the mix. He is also good with cats. The best part is that he handles corrections from other dogs very well without protest. He loves to play with others and would do just fine in a multi-dog household. We do think he would probably be happier in a home with kids 10 or older, not because he would harm them, but because their energy might be overwhelming for him. Overall, Strogi is a sweet, affectionate dog who is ready to find his forever home, Strogi is about a 18 months old and weighs 41 pounds currently. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested positive for heartworm disease which he will need treatment for.
