Recently, our family's situation has changed significantly. My 93-year-old grandmother, who has dementia and is very frail, has come to live with us after being pulled from a nursing home. She does not like dogs, and due to her condition, we have had to adjust our household to accommodate her needs. With my dad now being a full-time caregiver for my grandmother, he is no longer able to give Misty the time, attention, and exercise she needs. Misty is a wonderful dog, but she has a lot of energy and can get quite rowdy. To minimize disruption, we have been keeping her outside more often. Unfortunately, this has led to excessive barking, and we have now received a noise complaint from the city. Misty is more on the submissive side. She knows basic commands such as: sit, down, wait/ okay, drop it, spin, off. She tends to stick by her favorite person and will always be excited to see you. As long as you have the time to take her for walks/ play with her, she is a sweetie. She also loves her butt to be rubbed and loves being petted.
