About Copper

Copper was given to a family as a tiny puppy when his original owner had to leave for college, with the promise that she'd one day return for him. However, when she finished, she didn't come back, and the family could no longer take care of him. They asked me to take Copper in, and as my first dog, the experience had its challenges, but Copper made the transition easier with his good behavior. Being house-trained was a huge relief. Copper isn't fond of cats, but he previously lived with five other dogs. He can get a bit excited when meeting new dogs, but after a little exposure, he plays with them great. He even plays a lot with my mom's tiny dog just fine. He's a loyal dog who follows his friends around and loves finding someone to play with. When he wants to go outside, he'll let you know. As much as I wish I could continue caring for Copper, it's not financially feasible for me to have a pet right now. Additionally, I'm expecting a baby with my fianc̩ in Peru, and I'm unable to bring Copper with me for the several months I will be there.
