About Charlie

Charlie is a 18 month old Red Merle purebred working line Border Collie. He is not neutered he did recieve his puppy shots and rabies at 16 weeks old but is not current i will renew it if a adopter or rescuer is interested in him. Charlie is crate trained but i am unsure of his house training status he spends much of the time outdoors or in his crate. He has not had any training and little handling since he was a puppy despite that he immediately sat for me but had some issues with the leash he will walk with encouragement on it but definitely needs some leash work along with everything else. Owner had some major health issues and they are now living with the owners mother and need a new owner who is willing to put in the time to work with them or a rescue that could take them on. They were raised around dogs, children, chickens, and believe cats but no other livestock. Charlie is very much from working lines and his energy levels reflect that he is more submissive then his brother and is very unsure of things with how much upheaval has been in his life despite that he has a willingness to please and wants to form a bond with someone. Neither dog has ever show aggresion and has been friendly even with strangers with how fast they picked things up in the little time i worked with them i believe they will be very easy and quick to train.
