About Duke

Duke is a 18 month old Pure Bred Working line border collie male that is looking for a new home. He is crate trained but spends most of his time outdoors i am unsure of his house training. I put a leash on him and he walked okay with some encouragement but he as not had any training or been worked with since he was a puppy i did manage to get him to sit with just a few minutes work so he will definitely be a easy one to work with. There was some major health things going on with the owner and the two brothers are now living with the owners mother and really need placement with a home or rescue who can work with them. The Tri is more dominant then his brother and does not let his brother eat when they are fed together it may be best for them to be seperated. He is affectionate with everyone he meets but very independant this may change if someone can work with him more and bond with him he has been around children, chickens, dogs, and possibly cats but not other livestock. As for vaccinations he did recieve his puppy shots and his rabies at 16 weeks however i do not think he is current if someone or a rescue is able to take him or his brother in i will get their rabies up to date.
