About Beatrix

Bea is a happy, spunky, curious, and smart lady! She has a fun loving spirit and lives for playtime. She will bring over her rope toy or stuffed animal and push it in my hands to kick off a game of Tug of War. Bea can play with you, or independently! She also enjoys fetch and playing with a flirt pole. Bea is a good walker on the leash. She prefers to romp around at the park and get lots of different sniffs in. Bea is very curious and likes to explore. She is learning to be confident in new environments and sometimes needs a bit of time to be comfortable. Bea is deaf and knows hand signals for sit, wait, come, drop it, and find it - more to come! She loves to learn and engage her brain! Bea picks up on things pretty quickly especially when using yummy treats. She has learned hand signals for Sit, Come Drop It and Find It. We are working on Wait and Stay! She has done well with various dog walkers and dog sitters so we think she is becoming more comfortable with people coming in to the house. Bea warms up when she is allowed to have a slow introduction and engage with someone at her own pace. Bea can be crated overnight or 6-7 hours during the day. Snuggling on the couch with you is Bea's favorite way to unwind. She can be a great couch potato at times especially on the rainy or cold days! Bea is housetrained. An ideal home for Bea is one with no small children (she can be rambunctious!). She is open to homes with other dogs if they are small breeds who are polite, gentle and respectful of space and would need to meet any doggie friends before finalizing adoption. We are unsure of Bea's exposure to kids and cats. We will update this if we get a better idea!
