Sam, one of our Devore heelers is well on his way to great canine citizenship. He has transformed from a terrified, shut down dog into a playful, active, and happy young boy. He is still building his confidence around new experiences, but with the leadership of his fosters, progress has been (and continues to be) exponential. Sam enjoys following his fosters around the house, chasing his ball, or laying on the front porch watching the world go by. He's currently living on 100+ unfenced acres and dude stays put. How's that for a porch dog? Oh and he's house trained, sleeps through the night, is great on or off leash, loves car rides, and is truly quite affectionate. According to his fosters, he's an easy dog to have around. Sam is dog and CAT friendly. He does need a minute to warm up to new people or experiences, but once he does, he's a gem. He thrives on routine, so if life in your household is pretty consistent and predictable and you're not seeking a pub dog or extreme sports adventure buddy, this is your guy! Sam's ideal home would include another balanced dog to help guide him and people that were patient and committed to building his confidence. Sam is located in Templeton, CA. He is microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and has a neuter appointment on March 5. More photos and updates: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1368704157424568&type=3 Interested in Sam?
