About Exeter

This cutie is Exeter. He is an Australian Cattle Dog mix who was born 9/30/2024. He weighs 23 pounds at 5 months old and we think he will weigh around 45-50 pounds when grown. Exeter already knows a lot: sit, off, and down. He is currently working on wait and leave it. He has two tricks so far: catching treats in his mouth and 'sit pretty.' Exeter is making good progress in house training and his new home should reinforce what he is learning. He is crate trained, going in with the 'load' command. Exeter is great with people and hasn't met a stranger yet. He does still have his baby teeth and has a hint of that puppy mouthiness in play, so we don't think he is a fit for kids under 10. Exeter is good with other dogs and lives with three in his foster home. He is respectful of them and accepts their reprimand when he gets too boisterous in play. Exeter likes to fetch. He will be a good adventure buddy for someone who wants to go places with their dog. This handsome boy loves pets and cuddles. He is smart, fun, and could even make a great sports dog prospect. Plus, he is sure to make you smile when he sometimes gives a cute howl at the sound of a siren. Someone will be very lucky to have this special guy as their best friend. Exeter is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Exeter is located in SoCal and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. We do not ship dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
