About Willis

Adoption Fee: $200.00
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

THE GOOD qualities are plenty.Great with children, fully housebroken. Loving, extremely receptive to training.Kennel trained in one day as a tiny guy! Simply have to gesture towards his kennel or tell him 'go to bed Willis'and he goes in.I put only indestructible toys in his kennel with him as he is a powerful chewer. He has a selection of toys which he needs to be content. He will be his own entertainment as long as he has his toys. You can tell him ' go find your toy Willis and he goes right away to get it/them.Very fun guy, fetches for as long as you like, only chews on toys and bones. Not destructive at all indoors. Can be left in the house all day and never has an accident. Trained to only get on 'his own miniature dog couch 'Designer dog couch not included but I would sell it for an additional $50.00 None of my 3 dogs are allowed on the furniture. If he was in a home that allows pets on the furniture, then I am sure he would enjoy it.Does not jump on the furniture at our home. Great at goat herding with a handler. Responds to 'go put the goats away Willis' Would be great with cattle if given a little training.Learns very fast. You can tell him 'leave it and he will walk away from it, whether it it a piece of food or whatever. Also responds to 'that is mine'and 'load up' This little guy needs a job!!! The bad;cannot be trusted with baby goats. So far he has left the chickens alone as he was trained as a baby.Any time he would go towards them I would tell him ' leave it!' Or sternly say ' that is mine' and he would avoid the chickens that were free ranging. He has never killed a chicken. He tried to chase them when a tiny pup of course but, never has as an adult. Can be outside with them all day with no problem. I always make sure he eats his fill twice a day plus he gets an occasional pig ears to chew on as a treat. Slight food aggression in that, as long as the individual dog bowls are in a different location i.e. one dog in the bathroom , one in the kitchen etc.then he is fine. We raise miniature goats so I cannot keep him. He is truly a great dog. He is a proven mouser and no vermin are safe. Indoors I am sure he could be trained to tolerate cats but outdoors I don't know how he would do as we don't have cats, he has never been around them. He is very playful and silly. I have enjoyed him very much but the baby goat issue is a real deal breaker for us. Must fenced yard to keep him safe. Walks well on a leash but will not go potty on the leash ? Text preferred only call after 5:30 pm as I cannot answer 8am to 5pm. Monday thru Friday. He is purebred, , we met sire and dame. No papers available. Adoption fee to avoid being used as a bait dog. He truly is a great little guy. Exposed to lots of grandbabies and loves them.
