Please, read this post in its entirety. In your response and inquiry, please acknowledge that you have done so and provide the requested information. Your acknowledgment serves as your preliminary application for consideration. I appreciate your understanding. The Countess Tessa is our version of American royalty who hails from Louisiana! This Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog is waiting for her idea kingdom. Weighing in at 50 pounds with a silky coat and piercing eyes- this regal beauty is seeking a young active family who will cater to her need for devotion and unbridled companionship. She is a Velcro lady- wanting to be at your side 24 7. Her ideal home would be on secure fenced acreage to work off her young vibrant energy. The Countess Tessa would be a great running and hiking partner. She came from a family who was not committed to her, that discarded her and defended their decision saying they didn't have time for her. A lovely lady took her in and taught her the goodness of humankind. However, she needs more to stimulate, yet provide calm when needed. She hates a crate. This is unfortunate- as a crate should be a happy she-shed place. Hopefully, her new family can show her that her crate is a peaceful place to chill. This may not happen. Be prepared to share your bed and snuggle up. She knows her basic commands, has great potty manners, is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and spayed. All medical records provided. Be advised she needs gentle introduction to potential dog mates-and prefers sweet dispositioned playmates. She co-exits appropriately with most cats. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you - the better. What can this companion expect from you and what are your expectations of her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. You must prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical, and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response- as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding- Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.
