Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XnoaFYJBh18 Poncho is a true survivor and such a gem. He is a young adult, so 2-3 years old. He came to an overcrowded, high volume, pit bull overloaded shelter with a large wound from a machete. The shelter treated him and got him all fixed up and the medical staff absolutely fell in love with him. But, despite their love for him, he found himself on the euthanasia list due to time at the shelter. If a dog doesn't get adopted or rescued, they are eventually euthanized because more dogs keep coming in. The shelter begged me to save him and despite being very low on space I took him in. And he is just as awesome as they said he was. He loves to give hugs and be petted, he does well in the crate, well on the leash, has been great with dogs of all sizes and with cats too! He is the perfect boy who cannot wait to find his happily ever after! He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.
