Gideon is a loyal, gentle Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd/Akbash mix who I rescued from a backyard breeder, and turns two at the end of May. He enjoys being with the family, but is also an excellent Livestock Guardian Dog. He is confident yet cautious, and very intelligent. He has been with goats, horses, ducks, cats and many other dogs, including puppies, small dogs, and frail elderly dogs. He can come in the house if he wants, but spends most of his time outside. Like most Great Pyrenees, he is an escape artist, and I am close enough to a highway that I am afraid he will get hurt. Gideon weighs around 135#, and has the thick Great Pyrenees coat. He has a serious demeanor, but also loves to play! He's a great dog!
