About Nacho

This 2-year-old, 15-pound Chiweenie is looking for his second chance at a loving home. After the loss of his owner, Nacho ended up at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center, where the shelter environment was incredibly scary for him. He sat trembling in the back of his kennel, too nervous to engage with anyone. Once Nacho made it to his foster home, he began to blossom! This sweet, gentle guy loves attention and wants to be near his person. He's also food-motivated, making him easy to train and a great companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. Nacho is great with other dogs his size and is also cat-friendly, making him a great addition to many types of households. While he would prefer a physically fenced yard to run and play in, he does well on a leash for walks, too. Nacho is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and has been heartworm tested, so he's ready for his forever family.
