Scooby is a loyal, affectionate, and high-energy pup looking for a loving home that understands his needs. He has been with three owners and has shown himself to be deeply devoted and protective of his person. Scooby thrives on playtime and enjoys staying active, making him a great companion for someone with an energetic lifestyle. He's well-behaved in the home-crate trained, completely housebroken, and respectful of furniture and belongings (no shoe-chewing here!). He can also be left alone for 6-8 hours without any issues. Scooby has undergone behavioral training and knows essential commands like sit, stay, and leave it. Due to anxiety, he takes Trazodone as needed and would benefit from an owner who can continue to support him with structure and reassurance. While he is incredibly loving, Scooby can be protective and has shown reactivity when people unexpectedly enter his space. He will typically growl as a warning, but he has bitten in the past when feeling threatened. For this reason, he needs a home with someone who understands dog behavior and can help him feel safe and secure. With the right environment and a patient, experienced owner, Scooby will be an incredibly devoted and loving companion.
