DEADLINE 4/1/25! [Case opened on 2/20/25]. MOGADORE, OHIO (WILL DRIVE UP TO 100 MILES TO MEET) . (Est.) 2 y/o Female Black GSD Mix. Her name is 'FREYA'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent rescued Freya almost a year ago from an abusive situation. She was forced to live in a crate the majority of her life and extremely thin/malnourished from neglect. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. NOT good with kids. NOT good with dogs. NOT good with cats. House trained. Crate trained, but does NOT need, has great behavior when left alone. No known medical issues. RESOURCE GUARDING. HIGH PREY DRIVE. Currently on BLUE WILDERNESS food. Weighs 65 lbs. OK with car rides, but will sometimes get carsick. Loves: toys - balls - being with her person - playing hide and seek with her toys - cuddling-chilling on the couch - playtime. Personality: very sweet and loving to her person. Extremely intelligent. Freya has had a hard life, and I am going to make sure that the worst is behind her. She is such a great girl. She is very toy motivated. She is very protective. She is an anxious girl because of her Abuse History. She is extremely intelligent and knows Basic Commands. She is a very quick and easy learner. She is very lovable to her humans. She is very well behaved and has never been destructive. She has spent 2 months with a trainer. Because of her abuse history, we ask that her New Shepherd Parent have a crate for her for Comfort, but to please always leave the door open. Freya does not need to be crated when left alone because she is not destructive and she has good behavior. Fraya needs safety and stability so that she can finally relax and have peace. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Freya because she has kids and Freya is just not good with kids. She will nip at them. She will growl at them. She needs a home with NO kids. Because she also has Resource Guarding, she will thrive best in a home with NO kids and NO other pets. Freya needs someone who will understand and respect her Abuse History and work through her Resource Guarding and be able to work with her to be the best girl that she can be.
