Scout lives in Portland, Oregon. He is about 4 years old and 60lbs. He is a mixed breed. He LOVES to run and play. He is loyal, great with humans and cats, smart, obedient and sweet. He is a genuinly a well-trained dog. Unfortunately, Scout is aggressive with other large dogs. We are around too many other large dogs on a regular basis, which is why we need to rehome him. We have worked with a specialist and he is still aggressive towards large dogs. He has shown no aggression towards small dogs, he even has small dog friends! SKILLS: He is intelligent! He is e-collar trained. He understands commands: sit, down, relax, place, shake, stay, heel, leave it, back, and is crate trained. He is good with older kids and has no issues with cats. He currently lives with a cat and a child age 7. CHALLENGES: Scout is aggressive towards large dogs particularly around toys. We are very hesitant to let him off leash unless it is in our backyard. He is not a 'dog park' dog. We'd love to find someone who wants a well-trained dog. He needs to go to a home that has a fenced yard and can provide him with a daily walk. He doesn't need much more but he LOVES fetch with a ball in the backyard. He is so sweet and we will miss him dearly. If someone out there can provide him with a life where he is not around other large dogs, the will have an absolute JOY spending time with this smart sweetheart.
