Piper is a very shy girl who stood no chance of adoption while in the shelter. The noises were too loud and the overall commotion was too much. Once out of the shelter, Piper took 2-3 days to finally adjust to a calmer environment and now she's like a completely different dog. This is not to say that Piper will not be shy with new people, what has been learned is she becomes very velcro to her 'person' and is very loving. With that said. I think she'll do best in a home without kids. She has attached herself more to women than men. She enjoys going out, despite the weather, for long walks so would be a good walking/hiking partner. She ignores other people and dogs while out. She could do well with another dog companion as well, as we haven't seen any aggression from her, but she likely still needs time to tell. She's met several dogs and been fine. Piper is currently being fostered. There is an adoption application required to adopt.
