Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Newark, DE for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 15-year-old, 18lb., Miniature Poodle who was surrendered by her owner when they could no longer care for her. She was in good shape, but needed a new beginning.�%A0 Maggie was treated for Lyme disease and received a dental. She has good vision but minimal hearing. Maggie is fully potty trained and walks well on a leash. She gets along well with dogs and dog savvy kids and can handle stairs. Due to minor anxiety, Maggie needs to be crated when left alone or she will howl. A home where people are home more often than not would be the best fit for her. Maggie is very well mannered and would do great in a busy household or a quiet one. She is happy snuggling up in bed with you or sleeping in her crate.�%A0 Maggie may be 15, but she still has some pep in her step.�%A0 She loves going on walks and playing tug of war.
