About Maggie

Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Newark, DE for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 15-year-old, 18lb., Miniature Poodle who was surrendered by her owner when they could no longer care for her. She was in good shape, but needed a new beginning. Maggie was treated for Lyme disease and received a dental. She has good vision but minimal hearing. Maggie is fully potty trained and walks well on a leash. She gets along well with dogs and dog savvy kids and can handle stairs. Due to minor anxiety, Maggie needs to be crated when left alone or she will howl. A home where people are home more often than not would be the best fit for her. Maggie is very well mannered and would do great in a busy household or a quiet one. She is happy snuggling up in bed with you or sleeping in her crate. Maggie may be 15, but she still has some pep in her step. She loves going on walks and playing tug of war. She is very curious and happy to snuggle up to anyone taking a nap. Maggie just wants to love and be loved. Can she please be part of your life? Apply today!
