Meet Tippy Little Tippy is adorable. We pulled Tippy from a kill shelter where because of her timidity she might not have made it out. When you're only a year old and weigh just 13 lbs., the world is a scary place, especially when you have no one and you're all alone in a kill shelter. Tippy would hide under her bed and shake. Since arriving to our no-kill shelter, Tippy has been decompressing and showing us what a warm young pup she is. Tippy is thought to be a chug (chi/pug), cheagle (chi/beagle) or a rat-cha (chi/rat terrier mix). Regardless of her breeds we think she is 100 percent pawfect. She is a small dog with adorable wrinkles and warm brown eyes. We also know that Tippy has a sweet personality. She is shy and uncertain, but she wants love so badly. She is easy to pick up or she crawls into your lap for comfort and a snuggle. She has been alone for so long that once she bonds with her person she becomes anxious without them. Tippy will do best with a person or family who like to take Tippy on their errands or adventures or are stay at home kind of people. We think a quiet home might also be best for her. Once she feels safe and loved and understands that she will not be abandoned or neglected, she'll start to trust her circumstances more and may outgrow her anxiety. A patient and gentle person/family will erase Tippy's fears and soothe her soul. Tippy is calm, gentle, friendly, quiet, and affectionate. She gets braver every day and we've been showering her with kindness. We've been teaching Tippy to walk on a leash/harness. She's never been on one and she's learning fast, but having a fenced yard or a secure porch/deck will be a must as Tippy can dart out the door to do her business. Tippy does well with dogs and cats. She hasn't shown much interest in either but seems to be happy enough co-existing. This pretty little pup will be a wonderful companion. She's the pawfect little nugget to curl up with and read a book, watch tv, take a nap, or go out to lunch or run errands with. She will love to be your constant companion and cherished friend.
