*Courtesy post Meet Ruthie - ID# A181120 Ruthie's journey has come full circle. Originally adopted from Pinal Animal Shelter in 2016, she has sadly found herself back at the shelter since December 2024. Now around 9 years old, Ruthie may be a senior on paper, but she still has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life. This small, petite girl is the perfect size and still has a pep in her step. She recently went on a hiking adventure, and she was fantastic. Ruthie was excited to explore, took in all the scents, and showed no reaction to other dogs, joggers, or bike riders. She loved getting pets and sat nicely for treats. Based on her energy and spirit, she could easily be mistaken for a much younger dog. Ruthie pulls on the leash at first but quickly settles into a nice walking pace. She is dog-friendly and participates in playgroups at the shelter. Her behavior around cats is unknown. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. This sweet girl is a hidden gem who is more than ready to leave kennel life behind for a soft bed and a loving family. The shelter recommends bringing resident dogs and children for a meet-and-greet before adoption.
