About Titan

German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Name of pet: Titan Organization or individual: Individual Your location: North Charleston- Park Circle Area Pet age: 2.5 will be 3 in August Breed: Purebred German Shepherd without papers Are they good with dogs, cats, and kids: Yes to all Reason for rehoming: He was abandoned by his former owner and left for my mom to take care of. She has gotten him UTD on shots and neutered as well as on flea meds. He knows basic commands and is a very smart dog but my mom is moving in with us and we have 3 kids, 2 older dogs of our own, and we rent. This is in the best interest of Titan and unfortunately we cannot keep him at our new house. Is there a rehoming fee: Yes but negotiable for the right forever home Would you like rescue help: yes House/crate trained: House trained yes. He has never been created and does well outside of crate. No accidents and no destructive behavior Is the pet utd on shots: Yes Is the pet spayed/neutered: Yes Additional info/story: Titan is pretty lazy as far as GSDs come. He loves to lay on the couch with his paws in the air and take naps for most of the day. He is great with my kids and has been around kids all his life ranging from baby to toddler to teen. He loves to play fetch. He is a little nervous on car rides but not bad to take. He responds very well to learning tricks and commands using treats and is a very trainable dog. He does not use or need a kennel and can be trusted to be left out while you are not home and will not destroy your things. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. He lives in a home with cats and he does chase them because they run from him and he thinks it's a game. He is however very protective of his family and needs to be introduced slowly to strangers and should wear a muzzle until getting to know them. Once comfortable with you, he is just a big baby who loves attention and playing. We want him to go to a good forever home, preferably to someone with experience of the breed. We will require a meet and greet first and will want to ensure he is going to the right home for him. He will not go to just anyone. We would be interested in help from a rescue but please no negative comments. This is in the best interest of all involved and it's already a hard enough choice.
