Gumbo was a stray that I took in because he is extremely underweight. He's incredibly sweet and loves to cuddle. An underbite that makes his squishy face even more adorable, and sometimes catches his upper lip(see pics). I haven't found anything he won't let me do(touch and wipe paws, look at teeth, etc) He hasn't shown any resource guarding/aggression. He does really well in the crate. Learning house training, but doing well considering. Friendly to everyone. I don't know how he is with other animals or young kids, but he loves my 15 year old son. With a little work, I think he'll have great manners. He knows 'sit'. Not neutered. His posture is suffering, due to malnutrition. The vet thinks it may correct itself once he starts gaining fat and muscle. He has had a vet exam and waiting on fecal test results. He has been so hungry that he will eat anything'|so I don't let him out of my sight between that and potty training. Within 5 days, he has shown so much trust. I would say he is sensitive, so gentle and positive reinforcement is what he needs. I will need to foster him until 2/26/25 to fulfill the 14 day stray hold that my county has in place.
