This gorgeous girl was dumped in the woods on a side road with a friend and left to fend for themselves and we're not sure how long they were out there. Her male companion was more social than her so he was picked up by a local, but Peeta was terrified of people and had a hard time leaving the woods. It took a volunteer 2 1/2 weeks of multiple visits a day to gain the trust of Peeta, and she was finally able to be saved. Peeta was once a very loved dog based on how she's been toward people and walking on a leash, but has a little anxiety to get over. She is a total sweetheart that has shown absolutely no aggression toward anyone she has met, not even when scared in the woods. She has gotten along with the dogs at the rescue and briefly met cats during an overnight stay with her rescuer, but not long enough to deem 'good with cats' so later cat testing will be done. Peeta will require a fenced in yard and to not be left outside unattended as she has shown she can climb a 4' chain fence at the rescue.
