About Bodhi

We are rehoming our 3 month old male terrier mix. We rescued Bodhi when he was 8 weeks old. He is a very happy boy who loves to play and snuggle. He has a curious spunky eager to learn all that he can personality. And absolutely adores his toys, especially his small toy turtle. He is learning how to be crate trained. He has his first round of shots but will need his 2nd set at the age of 16 weeks (4 months). He is microchipped and was given his first flea and worm medication 7 days ago. We rescued Bodhi in hopes that it would help our 2 1/2 year old female, who was severely neglected and abused before we saved her at 7 weeks old. Due to the heartbreaking trauma she endured in her first 7 weeks of puppy hood, she is mentally traumatized and is extremely scared of other dogs. We tried to socialize her several times without success. She started to become very lonely and depressed even though my husband and I walked her and played with her everyday. Eventually she stopped playing with us altogether and refused to go on walks. We were hoping and praying that getting her a doggy friend would help bring her out of her funk.However it has backfired on us and she has tried attacking him a few times now. As much as we absolutely love and cherish Bodhi boy, we have decided that it would be best for both dogs if we find Bodhi a forever home that is permanent and secure. A home that is loving of animals and patient. A home that is equipped to continue with his training and has experience with dogs and preferably already has a dog that is friendly to other dogs living in the home. We will provide his new parents with a brand new kennel, a large variety of toys and chewing bones. Food and treats. His leash, collar, and harness with his tags. A handful of jackets and sweaters. His dog bed, blanket and all the veterinary and microchip information needed. We are asking for a rehoming fee. We can discuss a fair fee amount that will be satisfactory to both us and his new parents. We are deeply sad to see him go to a new loving happy home. We are asking that Bodhi's flea medication be purchased ONLY from a vet who provides a prescription for flea medications. And that his flea medication be given to him very single month from here on out. And that Bodhi will receive his 2nd round of vaccination shots at 16 weeks (4 months).
