About Mack

Mack is looking for his forever home. He was adopted from the Animal Foundation at 4 months old. He is about a year old now. Mack is a large dog. I am not sure how much he weighs, est. around 60-70 pounds. Mack is neutered. His fur coat is short, smooth and relatively easy to brush out. Mack is leery of new people at first but can easily be won over with lots of treats and kindness. He loves children and would make a great family pet. Mack has been labeled as a Siberian Husky by vets/groomers/etc but is believed to be mixed with Shepherd. Mack's ideal owner would be able to provide him with a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. Currently Mack walks about 5-6 miles a day and is content with that. He does well in apartments but prefers having a backyard. I would prefer if he went to a home that has prior experience with Huskies or other highly active breeds, but I will consider anyone who is willing to put the commitment into him. Mack is only being re-homed since his owner (my mother) passed away last month and I am maxed out on dogs. Mack is not in immediate danger of being taken to the shelter.
