Ranger is a year old and about 35lbs. Prior to coming into rescue he basically lived his life in the backyard. He came to us scared of the world and lacking confidence. He's been with an amazing foster and working with a professional trainer. He will do best in a home that has at least one other friendly, playful, confident dog. He may take a couple days to warm up to new owners but if another dog is present this will happen much faster. He would do best in an adult only home that doesn't have a ton of traffic. Ranger is housebroken, has beautiful house manners and leash manners. He knows all his basic commands. Once he's comfortable the puppy in him really comes out and he's such a goofy, playful boy. We are hoping to find a home in San Diego or within driving distance so his foster can personally bring him to his new home to help him settle in and be close by to offer any support his new adopters may need. Ranger is extremely smart, easy to train and will thrive in a home that understands the breed and the mental stimulation and activity level these dogs require. If you would like more information about him before filling out an adoption application you may call his foster Rob directly at 617-997-6960. Our foster has been very dedicated and put a lot of time and work into Ranger to get him to where he is today and we are looking for someone with this same kind of commitment.
