About Coach

SNUGGLER. LOVER. YOUNG-AT-HEART. Coach found himself at the county shelter as a senior in rough shape. He had a terrible upper respiratory infection that turned into severe pneumonia. When we saw he was listed for euthanasia, we stepped in to save him and brought him to the emergency room. After receiving intensive care, including oxygen, he spent weeks recuperating under the watchful eye of our medical team and staff. Now fully recovered, Coach walks politely on leash as he gets his neighborhood strolls in. He can also be left alone in his crate while you run errands but will snuggle up with you as soon as you come home. Coach shows his playful side once he's given a chance to warm up. Once he trusts you, he'll love you forever. He even loves playing with dogs of his size or smaller. This young-at-heart senior enjoys going to new places, though he is more cautious with new people.
