Nine year old Lulu is now part of the DRNM family because a failed adoption from the city shelter brought her to us after she, unfortunately, ate one of the owner's chickens and has shown interest in the cats. Even though she is a petite Doberman, we were concerned about her emaciated state. She was given a clean bill of health and is slowly putting on weight. Lulu is a sweet, playful girl who enjoys car rides. We believe she has spent her life as an 'outside' dog because she is not completely housebroken, but she is learning quickly! Lulu is crate trained and gets along with older children and other dogs. She is an active dog for a senior girl! As is common with 93% of blue Dobermans, Lulu has color dilution alopecia (CDA), a genetic skin condition. CDA causes patchy hair loss and thinning, and can also lead to flaky or itchy skin. The hair coat may appear dry, dull, and poor quality. There is no cure for CDA, but treatments, such as good food and supplements, can help manage symptoms. Please complete an adoption application at http://www.dobermanrescuenm.com. A $150.00 adoption fee applies.
