This distinguished gentleman is looking for a loving home!! Johnny came into the shelter as another unwanted stray dog.. he was sick, scared, and seemed to have given up on life. It didn't take long for him to realize he was in the best hands finding himself at the shelter and with a little TLC from his new friends, his true personality started to shine! This older boy loves to go for his walks, he eagerly trots alongside you and will happily follow you anywhere. He is always looking to be told he's the best boy ever and sits patiently for treats. Sometimes he needs to be reminded that there are plenty of treats waiting for him as he can take treats like a little piranha. This is the only reason why he would do better in an adult only or older (teen) kid household. He is very attentive and super food motivated, eager to learn more tricks in exchange for a reward. He can get excited around dogs but is friendly. He is a great size at under 50lbs and would make a loyal companion to anyone looking for a spunky middle-aged pup. Please go meet him at AHS Newark NJ
