DRACO'%BC%8F AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION'%BC%8F HOUSE TRAINED'%BC%8F ADOPTION FEE WAIVED'%BC%8F Draco is our longest resident at the shelter. He is two years old, Great Pyrenees and lab mix, fully vetted, neutered, and 70 pounds. Draco does well with most of the other dogs at the shelter, he is mellow, quiet and highly intelligent. He is house trained, listens to every command, won't even go out an open gate or into the house with the door open if he is told no. Draco does like it in the house and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He loves truck rides and playing with the family. Draco did very well with a 4yr old while attempting adoption in their home. Sadly, Draco chased the chickens and was too rough with the small dogs. Draco has an intense curiosity and a prey drive that created problems for the chickens and other small animals. Draco must be an only dog or adopted by someone who is experienced with properly introducing and integrating a new pack member. Draco is not dog aggressive but he can be reactive. Draco can pull hard on a leash but does very well with a harness. This guy knows several commands and is highly intelligent. His potential is truly endless. Home trial visits are a great option and welcomed. Come meet Draco at Guntersville Animal Hospital at 1609 Henry St Guntersville AL. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Sat 7:30-12.
