Oliver was adopted from the original owner 2.5 years ago. They would crate him 9 hours a day and had multiple dogs and cats in the same situation. I took him, trained him and have used him as an ESA (registered) since then. He is very quiet, calm, very very submissive and intelligent. He will run and play but is also trained to go with me off- leash on a heel, to an e- collar. He's so soft you only need to vibrate him and he's listening! He has been socialized to the car, elevators, grocery stores, college campuses, hospitals, gas stations, areas of high traffic, the gym and every type of person you can imagine, including individuals with special needs, babies and wheelchairs. He it's high shedding, has some seasonal allergies and arthritis in the back hips. He has separation anxiety due to being a pack animal, and the situation I rescued him from. I can leave him for a few hours at a time but if I'm leaving him for more than 4 hours I have to give him trazadone so that he will be calm and not destructive. The medicine is cheap and he does well on it. He has been attached to my hip for the last 30 months and truly needs someone who can be his 'person'. You can take him anywhere with the right collar, but you can't leave him easily, unless it's in the car. He will wait for 2 hours or so for you to shop or go out to eat, or church. I am needing to rehome him ASAP, despite how much time, work and money I've invested into him... despite how much my children and I love him. My physical health has worsened and my disability is spreading me too thin to care for him. He deserves the best home, as he is a wonderful dog!
