About Becca

Meet beautiful brindle baby Becca! She's 1.5 yrs old and a cattle dog shepherd mix. She has the small stature and shorter legs like a cattle dog but has the big pointy ears and face of a shepherd. She's had a rough start to life. We rescued her from seaaca shelter and she had bite marks all over her throat that were healing scabs. She was shaking and terrified leaving the shelter and had to exit in a crate. The 1st 2 days at her fosters she stayed on the kitchen rug. In the last 2 months of feeling safe her sweet personality is coming out more and more! She's incredibly smart and has figured out the pantry but no curiosity into the kitchen cabinets. She loves to play dress up with her Foster's young daughter and they watch Taylor Swift concerts on TV together and matching outfits and Becca loves being a part of the family and the love the children give her. She's very gentle with them and submissive. After weeks of her finally feeling comfortable and safe it was ripped away from her when her foster dad was out on a walk, and their neighbor had a giant off leash husky in the front yard who attacked Becca. She had a couple small wounds on her face nothing major but the internal damage was done. This was the second instance of her being attacked, she is more fearful going on walks and would benefit from having her forever family work with a trainer to help her overcome feeling safe with her handler to enjoy walks again. She needs a masculine protector that she feels is parental protector. Becca is an amazingly sweet dog who can't help the things that have happened to her and with the right person to make her feel safe she will make an incredible family dog. She just needs a chance.
