Esther and Tessi are wire haired girls that we think are part cairn terrier and maybe part chihuahua or just wire-haired terrier. Both are around 8 to 10 pounds and 2 to 3 years of age. They are bonded girls who really desire to be together, likely for mutual support. Both girls are very shy and have warmed up to a couple of our staff people but are very afraid of others. They hide in the corner of their kennel when strangers come around, and of course, adopters are strangers. These girls need a very quiet home with a patient person that will allow them to come out of their shell gradually. They seem curious about our shelter cats but don't seem to mind them. They are trained to potty pads and will need an area where potty pads are acceptable in the home. Eventually they will enjoy a fenced in yard too. But not likely now...burrr! These girls are fully vaccinated and have all their medical needs completed. They are available now and can be adopted together for $300 to cover their medical. Please fill out an application from our website and we will get back to you by text if interested in helping them.
