PLEASE READ WHOLE BIO BEFORE APPLYING sMeet Melvin - The Sweetest Little Potato! Melvin is an almost 3-year-old male French Bulldog who is a true lover at heart. Though his foster family affectionately calls him 'Shrek,' when Melvin is lying down, he resembles a little sack of potatoes - and trust us, he's as lovable as one too! Melvin gets along with everyone - he's friendly with both humans and dogs alike, and he couldn't care less about cats (he's more of a 'do his own thing' kind of guy). He's been a great house guest, never leaving any messes behind. However, Melvin is a special boy with a condition called IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). This means he requires a loving and understanding owner who fully understands the potential outcomes of IVDD. While we're hopeful, there's always the possibility that he may require pain management, and in the worst-case scenario, Melvin could lose the ability to walk. As such, his new home will need to be prepared for the possibility of managing his condition long-term and making sure he avoids jumping on or off furniture, which could aggravate his condition. With the right care, Melvin can live a happy, comfortable life and will shower you with affection in return.
