About Max

This beautifully colored Australian Cattle Dog is Max. He is about 3 years old and weighs 45 pounds. He has those typical tiny ACD feet and a docked tail. Max needs a new home because his person's lifestyle no longer works for a herder. Max knows his basic commands: Sit, walk(next to walker) and stay.He also knows lay down (with a treat). He willdo anything for a treat! Max is house trained and sleeps in crate at night. Max is good with people and loves for people to come and say hi to him. He loves kids and likes to get them to give him belly rubs. He does get excited to greet people, so isn't a fit for small kids that he could knock over. Max is good with dogs of all sizes and has lived amicably with other dogs. He does like to play sometimes. Max grew up with a cat for his first year, but now gets excited to see one. He should be fine with a dog savvy cat after someone manages polite introductions. Max is ready to go on adventures. He is good on leash and in the car, so is a good travel pal. Plus, Max also loves to fetch. He is a fun guy that also likes to cuddle when the fun is done for the day. Max is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Max is located in San Diego and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. We do not ship dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
