About Betsy

Meet Betsy, a pretty young lady of mixed heritage who sports a lovely smile! Betsy is now in the care of our friends at A Place for Ace. She is being fostered and nurtured after an unsteady start in a high-kill southern shelter. As a very young adult between 1- to 2-years-old you can mold her into the sweet, mannerly companion she is trying to become. Betsy is starting to realize some people are actually good, however she prefers the company of women. Right now she's a little creeped out by men but with some patience she will warm up as the guys earn her trust. She'll approach you when she's ready! Kids are fine, but ages 12+ who understand how dogs need their space are preferred. Betsy may not have had a lot of human love, but she is used to being around dogs. As a smart cookie, she likes proper introductions to new canine friends. She would prefer a home with a balanced compatible playmate to learn from. Paws down, fellow dogs are the best teachers for dogs who are unsure of life. Betsy is looking for a forever home in which to decompress. She needs experienced pet parents who will have the patience to go slow with her. For a while, she will do best with a very small world without parties, outings, noise, and the like.
